Chairs & Ropes

The Iyengar Yoga tradition uses a wide range of equipment to enable any person to achieve and improve their asana practice. We use props to work on alignment, stability, precision, and also to extend the duration of time of stay in asanas. This class uses one of the most versatile props, the chair, together with one of the most amazing props, ropes to help support and aid your practice. All this will help our bodies feel amazing, release stress and open up to learning. 

“Yoga is discipline. Discipline means creating an order within us. Discipline is connected with the capacity to know, the capacity to be, and the capacity to learn. This is why Asanas are not about intense activity or physical training. Asanas are an inner training of our “being”. By practicing asanas, we learn just “to be”.
